Like everyone, I receive a few magazine subscriptions. While I'm slowly moving to digital copies (Macworld, American Photo, Wired), I still have my fair share of hard copies (PhotoLife, Azure and Vancouver Magazine). One of the things I hate is that they come wrapped in that plastic wrap. Sure it keeps the magazine in good condition during mailing (I do enjoy a crisp magazine), but more so it holds all those annoying leaflets and adds to un-recyclable, un-degradable plastic pile on the earth. This is especially important with the number of photography magazines out there, which I'm more likely to get.
So I was happy to get my Vancouver life and see a degradable plastic wrap by a company called Epi. Nice work Vancouver Magazine. Time for all the other magazines to step up and join the degradable cover plastic wagon. #
